To get the best out of your candle, which includes a quality burn and a longer life, you must trim the wick. You can try using scissors, but they just don’t have the right angle of attack. Our matte black wick trimmer allows you to maintain your wick at the optimum length. With a precise even cut, the saucer style base catches the snipped portion of the wick, saving your candle from wick debris. This is the perfect sidekick for any candle connoisseur.
No need to trim the wick before your very first burn. Each time you want to burn your candle, you must trim the wick leaving around 1/4” showing. Basically you want to cutoff the burn ball at the top of the wick. Simply lower the opened wick trimmer into the candle, snip the wick, and discard the debris. Light and enjoy!!

* Never trim a burning candle or a candle that has not cooled to room temperature. Be sure to always discard wick trimmings.
