We are excited to announce that River Rock Outfitter is part of the Cotton and Wax Candle Co. Family!
If you’re like us then you love the outdoors and being adventurous. River Rock Outfitter in downtown FXBG is the perfect store to get quality outdoor gear. I personally love that they carry Prana, Patagonia, and Vasque. Plus they have a nice Ruffwear section for dogs.
So how did we get so lucky to have such a great outdoor store in FXBG? Well it all started on a rock wall at Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport, Louisiana…..
April and Keith met their sophomore year in gym class, literally on a rock wall. Through many adventures, college, and the Marine Corps, April and Keith set roots in Fredericksburg, Virginia. They opened River Rock Outfitter in November 2014 on the Rappahannock River in the heart of Downtown Fredericksburg.
River Rock is a veteran, family owned specialty outdoor retailer. The shop has a natural look and feel, with walls of specialty gear for outdoor activities. Their knowledgeable team of outdoor enthusiasts is the lifeblood of the shop. Dubbing themselves “gear nerds”, their team is made up of tested athletes, instructors, and certified professionals; who make the inaccessible feel within reach.
April, Keith, and the River Rock Team are dedicated to being a part of the community. They offer demo opportunities to test before you buy, in-store events, and local outdoor adventure classes.
