For this Cotton and Wax FXBG SPCA #AdventureTail my friend Wendy and I took Elvis to Caleden State Park in King George, VA. Elvis is available for adoption at the Fredericksburg SPCA.

If you haven’t visited Caledon State Park… you should! Grab the dog, hop in the car and go! Be sure to bring some cash, it costs $4 to get into the park. Dogs are welcome; you must have your dog on a leash and be sure to clean up after them.
Caledon has 10 hiking trails that are beautifully maintained and well marked. Nature is abundant in this state park with over 120 species of birds, 20+ species of mammals, and almost 40 species of reptiles/amphibians. With its close proximity to the Potomac River, Caledon is known for its large population of bald eagles, giving visitors a unique opportunity to see them in their natural habitat.
Elvis was definitely mesmerized by the deer that came bounding out of the woods across the trail.
Not only are there hiking trails but Caledon also has biking trails, camping, fishing (with a permit), swimming, and kayaking. For more information click here:
To track my hiking adventures, I use a hiking app called Map My Hike+ (Under Armor). The paid version is completely worth the buy! They do offer a free version as well.

Happy Trails!
